A never ending pain

She knew that this would never end. This pain was killing her each day. Tears never dried in her eyes. Her heart was full of pain yet it felt empty. For people she was a perfect example of someone who had everything that a common person would ask for. But, only she knew how badly she was destroyed. Yes, she was destroyed...by the person whom she loved more than anything else in this world. Love that once made her feel like a queen now seemed as the worst mistake of her life.

She tried talking to her family and friends but then realized that no one cared. It was heartbreaking to see people advising her to think about her kids and continue the marriage where she was not even considered a person. She wanted to run away from everyone, but the thought of leaving her kids scared her to death. This is not what she planned for her life and this is not what she deserved. But, still she was facing all this. Every night she would stay up and sit in dark to think what she should do? Should she think about her own life and just leave or should she stay back and wait for the day and time when everything would be settled? These questions were just making her so uncomfortable. Her heart rate went up and a wave of anger went through her body the moment she thought about the person whom she was living with.

Whenever she tried speaking to this person, he just refused to listen. He knew that his this behavior was hurting her, but he still continued. He wanted her to accept his this side, where he wanted her to do what he wanted. He wanted her to be in the house with him. Take care of the kids. Look after the house. Cook him the meals. Talk to him when he wanted to talk and then if he is not in a mood to be with her, just leave him alone. Until now she thought that this as a temporary phase of his life and wanted to believe that it would go away with time. But, her gut feeling was telling her that this person was just training her to be his puppet.

Several ideas ran through her head all the time. She was not ready to accept this type of life. She did not have to. All she was asking was a good relationship between her and her husband. Perhaps this was too much to ask for from someone whom she gave everything.
